This painting is an especially very nice representation of what pop art is all about. Using the repetition method used a lot in pop art by the likes of Andy Warhol and others, the hearts are located in four different canvases, and use a complementary color scheme. It has very thick applications of paint in certain areas, and cold brushstrokes (see first picture).
